Eh Kay

Good book. Not a huge Able Team fan, but I'm going to try and pickup more when I can. Not much action but a good story that definitely kept me interested throughout. Great minor (or supporting) characters. One draw back was when (Spoiler Alert!) Lyons is falling off a cliff, then cliffhanger- and he randomly shows up later with no explanation as to how he survived! Editing I guess? Good author, good read, check it out!

Very good read. Knife wielding cult preys upon the dregs of society. Mafia ties to top it off. I bought into the villains scheme (I mean, I understand it, don't agree with it!). Bolan is out to stop them of course. There were some draw backs, I like the rogue knife fighter Farnham best of all, wish he'd had a larger role in the finale, and Bolan wades through dozens of baddies with ease. However I really liked this entry, great fast read!

I liked this one. Some slow parts for sure! I liked the scenes of Bolan driving around taking in the local sights. Strange but I liked it. A guy wearing a latex mask to "scare" away people when all he does is kill them anyways makes no sense, but that's okay. I liked the local who's sold his soul to the bad guys that was interesting. Good read, but a little slow at times.

A good book, but as others mentioned, very disjointed. Bolan just randomly stumbles upon the next step in the mystery. Felt like several novels pieced together, almost should have been a series of two or three Executioners. If you can live with that part there are some fantastic parts, desert chase was the highlight for me. Next up I may read Dead Easy, read it years ago but may check it out again. Peace!

Good book! The negatives for me were some of the dialogue between the villains, I can't imagine anyone speaking like that ever, also Bolan kind of bumbles around quite a bit. Other than that, I really enjoyed it. Villain was interesting, the diversion (I get it now!) was great. It's not a straightforward seek and destroy work your way up the food chain Bolan, very good!

Classic Mike "Doomsday Numbers" Newton! A very entertaining read from start to finish, sometimes I tune out some of the background information for the supporting characters, but not here, all well done, the author described a real believable cast. Bolan is wounded and on the run, will the townsfolk turn him over to the wolves? Or will they take inspiration from the Big Guy and fight back? Will Johnnie get there in time to save his brother? Spoiler Alert - no, yes, not really. I really liked the description of the Bolan hideout in this one, there are times when I wonder, what would Bolans house look like? Anyways, great book, check it out!

Some hit and miss here, some over the top violence, which isn't always a bad thing, some cookie cutter over the top sadistic villains, bumbling mob bosses and sexy foreign agents. Johnnie makes some rookie mistakes, has some doubts, which is okay in theory but I didn't really like that part. Overall I enjoyed this one.

Man this is mediocrity at its finest. Not much too see here folks. Move along, move along. If you must, you're in for some interesting background for some minor characters. An unbelievable plot, and a crazy over the top plot to kill some VIPs. Not good at all.

I had a trip coming up and figured I'd grab a book for the trip, it'd been a while since I read a Bolan so I picked up a couple. This will be a good book for the trip right? Wait, maybe I don't want to be reading this in an airport? Am I being paranoid? I brought something else instead! I had held off buying and reading this for a while (27 years or so) because I didn't have any interest in the whole hijacking thing, man was I wrong, this was a great book and the plane part is only part of it. Classic Newton here, I regret having not read this sooner! Almost James Bondish with all the awesome locations and intrigue. Loved the "many faced" villain. Like the appearance of Carl Lyons, though I'm not a fan of his. Great book!

Really entertaining book. Huge coincidence as to how Bolan gets involved, but trouble does have a way of finding the big guy. For some reason I really liked the hired hand helicopter pilot, I thought that was a nice touch. The villains were great, which is what I always look for. Lots of great characters along the way.

Mercs? Really? Okay, that aside this is a good book. Loved all the action. Loved all the strategizing, I liked them having to overcome all the obstacles, like sniper teams ahead and the relentless enemy tracking them. I really liked the cooperation between the enemies, nice to see. Mr. Rogers never seems to disappoint me! Eh Kay says check it out! Peace.

I'm a big fan of this author, but not of this book. It was a decent read, good plot and great action as always, there was just far too much "witty" banter between the characters, I found myself really annoyed and distracted by it, and I'm not sure why. And Hawkins came across as a complete buffoon, I don't normally like his character that much, but its like I felt bad for him in this one. This was average at best. Peace.

This one was Great. I really liked the jumping around with the timeline in this, it was really refreshing to read. Eh Kay says "check it out!"

The "Doomsday Numbers" are "counting down" that means it must be a Newton book. This one was good from start to finish ! I really enjoyed it. Darn EVIL PMC's !!

Painfully annoying CB radio lingo throughout ! and a confusing plot to top it all off. Its cool to see an "Ace" show up, but alas Bolan just blows him away in seconds. Only thing it has going for it is it continues on to the next entry ....

Very action packed book! As others have noted it seems a little too ambitious for a regular Executioner, and again Bolan seems to drag along everyone he runs into for the mission. For cannon fodder I guess ! But, all in all its good book! Peace!

Very interesting, it was a kind of an early Stony Man Novel. Great characters and as always some really great moments, great opening and some sniper moments early on in this one. But like alot of this era Executioners we are left with too many questions, there HAS been a hint of Mob / Chinese connection for some time, but we are still left in the dark on too many details. An OK read.

I thought this one was really good, I didn't even THINK about there not being much shooting until I read a couple of other reviews ! Funny, I guess there wasn't much but it held my attention and I always like Bolan turning the boys against each other. Filled with interesting characters, especially "Joliet" Jake, wasn't he a Blues Brother? Eh Kay

Just an average one, as pointed out before its the same old plot, terrorists trying to get the U.S. kicked out of the country ... yawn, but Fieldhouse always delivers great action and some cheesy dialogue !

Very entertaining book, lots of action, some really great combat sequences, breaking down how the boys of PF are so effective, covering fire, movement, positioning, really well done. A little too much of McCarter bossing the rest of the boys around but I guess he IS the leader now ! Always good to see some interesting villains, the show down between Able and the Russian was really well done ! Great Book !!

What to say about this book .... hmmm ... its both good and bad, the intro rambling about how evil Khomeni is , just felt like propaganda, I know he was a bad man, we all know that, we don't need page after page about how evil he is, especially since this was written in the 80's. So after page after page of this, we discover Bolan is on a roof top with a perfect shot at him ... he just knocked out some guards and now he's all set .... no mention on HOW a 6 foot plus WHITE man can wander around downtown Iran (can't remember what city) oh and he has Jack in tow as well .....and then their escape plan is amazing, Run down the Street....couldn't they have come up with something better ??? Anyway there are some good fight scenes and some good intrigue and Jack is well written, but the main plot off the story is really silly !!!

I know they always say don't judge a book by its cover, but come on, this has the most ridiculous cover, I used to groan every time I looked at it, I mean a MIG vs. a WW1 plane made of wood and Canvas ! So I finally gave it a chance and it was really worth it, the dog fight scene is really worth it. Bolan and Able "collide" , Bolan goes behind the Iron Curtain to rescue Jack, brain washed assassins, evil Commies, this one has it all, and a twist ending ! Eh Kay says - Check it out !

Previous reviewer nailed this one, but I'll give my two cents. Having read about 12 PF's in a row this one really stand out as, how do I say, Uninspired? Boring? By the Numbers? Author is just going through the Motions? ... I mean its well written with some good action as always, its just all been done before, Several times .... dropped weapons, Ninjas, pointless sword fights, YAWN ! I mean not really a terrible book, just not so good when compared to the rest of the series !

Just an average book, locals trying to take over Hawaii, Bolan with various people in tow is out to stop them and as a previous person noted, and I felt really annoyed by it too, the term Haole was used about a 1000 times in this book, groan ! As always this author writes the Bolan character very well, but it was just a average entry at best.

Augie and a Talifero, Bolan on the run for his life, great description of turkey meat, romance, classic Bolan ramblings about the nature of the Universe and Earth Mothers, this is stuff that classics are made of ! Seriously, I just reread this one and hoped it would be as good as I remembered it, and man was it ever !! I first read it back in the mid-late 80's , and it did live up to my own hype ! CLASSIC !

Non stop mind numbing action, my brain was on auto pilot, I lost track of what exactly Bolan was up to, other than gunning down and endless wave of useless bad guys, I had no idea what was going on. I guess I could have gone back to reread the beginning, but naw, whatever. If you like non stop endless fighting, this is one for you!

A jumbled disappointing mess, that is about all I can say for this one. The secondary? plot, if you can call it that tries to delve into the characters motivation, but it still feels hollow and pointless. Bolan riding with the President? UH ! skip this one.

A throwback to the days of old, Lone Wolf style with Brother John in the background. Bolan undercover looking to take down some local baddies and some Eco Terrorists, some good characters, some good action, annoying side kick, fairly decent book !

Great Book, I didn't rate it a ten because the ending felt a little rushed, still a good ending though. Overall a great book full of , and I mean full of great characters, everyone of them was so well thought out, "Good" Politician, the Young Cop, the Anti-Terrorist Leader, the Traitor, and Cowboy and Jack along for the ride ! Great stuff !

I really enjoyed this one! Partly, I really enjoy Nazis getting their asses kicked (to quote Indy 'Nazis, I hate these guys!') ! And for the main battle at the end, assaulting the Castle in the snowy mountains! There were some similarities to On Her Majesty's Secret Service, mind control, resort/base in the mountains . Just another rocking PF book!

Another great Fieldhouse book, somewhat by the numbers for him but still very enjoyable. Features what I think is the goofiest name of an enemy ever, the Purple Warriors of Righteousness!! Again evil Islamic Extremeists messing with American interests! But very good action and suspense throughout!

The drawback to this one, in my opinion is that Bolan decides to drag along every person he runs into on this mission. Old men, incompetent agents, the list goes on. Other than that little part, I really liked this one, it was great. The action is kinda limited but who cares, the author keeps things moving along real good, a real page turner (sorry for the cliche)The airplane sequence was classic !!! Check it out !

Very good, the survival sections are fantastic, if not for those parts it would be an average entry. Gary and Raph and some sidekicks crash land in a frozen wasteland and hold on for dear life! Great reading. The rest of the book carries on quite well. An entertaining read that kept me really involved!

A good book, BUT I thought it was a little dissapointing ending to the TRIO saga. Phoenix just stumbles onto their plot, and the ending wasn't too climactic. But never the less a well written action packed entry!

A sweet book, lots of action, GREAT supporting cast (characters)I really like this one! Check it out! Even the bad dude Bolan "teams" up with in the beginning is soooo well written, I wish he'd stuck around longer !

Thankfully this is the only book by Kent Delaney. It was a muddled confusing mess. Some dude, NAMED Bolan stumbles around Ireland with some half assed attempt to lure the IRA into - I'm not sure I really didn't care. But their exact plan has already been tired two days earlier using the EXACT same British Army guys name ... HUH ? I gave up half way through .... BLAH !

A really enjoyable book, lots of Hal, Leo and Bolan interaction, some good background on them, and how and why they are all so close. Great action, and insight into all the characters involved. Rather refreshing entry into the series. Thumbs up !

Just an average entry. I was annoyed with some of it ... for example, Bolan's gonna use Big Thunder and Little Lightning to battle the Killteam thats on a Killhunt. Are you kidding? Everyone other than Bolan is a complete idiot in this book. But had some good action throughout ! Peace

I've read this a few times now, cause for some reason I love it, maybe its that I like seeing Nazis get their asses handed to them. And boy do they ever ! Action, action and more action. Not a ten outta ten, but a definite nine! Obviously the ending is important, as one of the boys catches a round in the head, and we're left wondering, will he survive? tune in next month ....

Classic cover, one of my favorites, and whats inside is pretty decent as well. Not as much action as some others, but I really enjoyed the whole survival aspect of it. A very good read ! Eh Kay says, very good!

Great from start to finish, those annoying commies never learn do they, you just dont mess around with the Force, but way more importantly, you never, ever kidnap one of their sometime members ! Don't you realize they'll freaking go rogue if they have too, travel across the globe and wipe out your entire organization to get their home boy back .... man those commies shoulda learned by now ........ Fantastic! I loved this one, Bolan gets tired, worn out, seems to have doubts, is concerned for his teammates and the end scene with Katz and Bolan is freaking classic ! Loved all the villains, so well thought out, they seemed so f'n evil, I loved it. Action packed from start to finish. A few complaints, I couldn't remember Keio really doing anything in this one, Carl executing the prisoners in the beginning was kind of cruel and the Love scene with April and Mack made me wanna gouge my eyes out! But aside from that, I loved this one ! Peace, Eh Kay

I only had a couple of problems with this one, that one chapter just ended mid sentence, next is ... IS Dark wearing a trench coat? yes he is, we are reminded of it EVERY TIME HE MOVES ! Those I can live with , but the one reason I didn't give it a ten was (spoiler) the ending ! Its mentioned in passing that Able is in a heated battle, but we don't get to read about it. I felt like someone shoulda been killed off for sure, Ski, Dark or Adonis. Don't get me wrong they are all Fantastic characters, I just personally would have liked more closure. Aside from that there is sooooo much to like about this one, it took me a while to get used to all the goofy code names, but they are so cool and well fleshed out that who cares. When are they making a come back? (or have I missed it?) cause I'm really looking forward to another full length battle between these dudes and the Stony Man crew ! The opening airport scene, and the train scene were absolute standouts ! Do not miss this one ! Peace, Eh Kay

Ugh ! How boring, wave after wave of useless terrorists gunned down by the boys of PF. Not too much tension when the author keeps referring to the bad guys as Flunkies and Losers. The boys of PF don't even seem to miss a single shot through the whole book. The boys would work up more of a sweat down at the shooting range than facing these idiots! Eh Kay says - skip this one !

So say you're a commander of the criminal organization called MERGE, and you just got word of one of your teams being wiped out by a mysterious team of 5 fierce warriors, my advice to you would be pack it up, call it a day and try again somewhere else. Cause those five dudes are coming for you and no matter who you're teamed up with, local Savajes, Cuban rebels or crooked cops, you're probably gonna get your ass kicked, didn't your Superiors tell you about these dudes? They've been kicking MERGE's ass all over the globe! Go home already! Great book ! Lots of action, fantastic ending, with the appearance of Raf's brother. One of my favorites !

A VERY by the numbers entry, assigned a mission, attacked when they arrive, capture a bad guy, use scopolamine, get info, attack hardsite, end. But entertaining none the less.

I subtracted a star or two because of the plastic masks the boys of PF wear to conceal their identities, the KGB already knows who Manning is (PF 21) and I believe they know who Katz is, having killed other one armed men in the past. From Moscow to Mongolia, through the Gobi desert, investigating crime scenes, firefights and interviews with Mongolian military personel, all wearing plastic masks ..... only to remove them later in the mission ... huh? I know I shouldn't let it bother me, but I couldn't help it. Other than that long rant, It was a really cool idea, teaming up with their "worst" enemy to fight another long standing enemy, TRIO. Good action throughout, excellent writing and some good dialogue at the end between Katz and his counterpart from the KGB.

A really good book, my only complaint is how they got into the Vatican, a distraction, and the fact the terrorists just didn't kill all the hostages then and there. And the whole Ninja thing is a little over done, other than that it is a really good book, lots of action and well written, check it out!

This was a below average book, I gave it an extra star for the kick ass cover, I gotta get one of those sleeveless shirts and a cool leather wrist band ! The premise was OK, terrorists are freed from Gitmo to commit suicide attacks in and around Cuba. There were some interesting insights into the terrorists thoughts, but my main complaint is if (SPOILER!) if the Cubans know that these dudes are gonna waste all the hostages and the demands are all for nothing, why not just bust on in and start kicking ass? Again, I was not overly thrilled.

A really good book, very similar to Desperate Passage (the entry previous to this) Bolan is dropped into Burma to rescue an agent with a laptop full of Chinese secrets. Those pesky Chinese are at it again hunting Bolan and the uber hot agent down through the jungle, and toss in some rogue agents, gangsters Burmese army and Indian special forces and you have yourself a good little book. I subtracted a couple of stars for the unoriginal sidekicks (they were entertaining, I've just seen them before) and the useless special agent woman. Other than that it was great. Eh Kay says - its Greeeaaaattt !

I really liked this one. Bolan's mission goes from bad to worse, then even worse. Great writing, great action. One of the more entertaining ones I've read in a while. Bolan stranded in the abandoned airport in the old hangar surrounded by bad dudes is classic stuff, his escape with a wounded guide in tow, again classic! Eh Kay says check it out !

Bolan is out to stop some rebels who are dropping ebola on innocent villagers, Cal and Raf are along for the ride, a really good book, lots of action, maybe a few too many bad guys. And one little tactic they employ in the finale I didn't really like (I don't want to spoil it), I did love Cal trying to defend the refugee camp against a much larger force. Good read. Peace ...

Remember the 80's, when Ninjas were all the rage? Enter the Ninja, Revenge of the Ninja (my favorite!), American Ninja. Then I found this novel, Ninjas AND Bolan. My whole group of friends were so excited, we all took turns reading and fighting over who would read it next. Fast forward 20 some years. I was so excited when I picked this up ! I couldn't wait to relive that old feeling ... but sadly I was disappointed. This is a pretty dull, uneventful lackluster entry. More of a mystery than an action adventure novel, definitely not a keeper. Eh Kay says - Revenge of the Ninja Rocks ! This novel does not !

I would have given this book a much higher rating had it not been for the ending. The Sidekick of the Month was interesting, the Gil character was well written, the villains were villainous, I enjoyed the fact they were on their own and on the run with not much help from The Stony Man Crew. Still an enjoyable read. Eh Kay says ... I probably won't read it again.

I like that it wasn't about the end of the world, or some giant Global Terrorist Holocaust, but about stopping an attack on a single target. It was a good concept, and I usually like those ideas better. But my main complaint was already noted, he drops into hostile territory to assault an Unknown number of terrorists, hes hoping for around 24, and he only brings his Desert Eagle and a Beretta ? He had all the weapons in the world to choose from, plus he has to knock out some important equipment, so he brings some highly volatile explosive rounds ( described in depth, in this and this authors last entry) so that was a bit of a let down. Average entry. Eh Kay.

Absolute Crap Page 1 - - and I quote ''She didn't try to mask the smells God gave her. She practiced proper hygiene but beyond that she was all-natural woman. And Mack Bolan was an all-American Man.'' Are freaking kidding me ! Then theres the assault by 13 nuclear powered helicopters called AeroDeath ? on the farm - which Bolan , his shotgun, Barb with an m-60 and some blacksuits stop cold. Wow! they are good. I chucked it across the room when Bolan ran into a gaggle of Uzi toting Stilleto wearing Bikini clad assasins who begin to chase him down ! One question that really boggled my mind is what the hell was this group doing - lets see they killed Kennedy , then what? they've been waiting around for the last 40 years ? What are they waiting for ? Global warming ? So then they really can take control of the world !! My brain hurts just thinking about this ! Eh Kay says - this ones going in the garbage.

Holy Crap ! Holy freaking Crap this was good ! I absolutely loved this one ! Its no sunny afternoon in the park for the boys of Stony Man. As someone said , people get their asses handed to them . The ending was , how do I say , Classic ! It was good to see everyone face challenges and be invovled in this one. Chuck Rogers pulled a Chuck Lidell and knocked me on my ass ! Eh Kay says .... read what I said above !!!

Yeah, this was real good . Great villains, the Elements of Death. I love the cameos by PF , and Kisinger getting in on the action was cool. And I liked the blacksuit/was it FBI? She was really well done ! The battle on Mannings Farm was just awesome - reminded me of Tooth and Claw, the classic PF ! Keep up the good work Mr W . Thank you ! Eh Kay says - don't miss this one !

A great premise and a very ambitious story - ending was silly though. This really should have been streched out into a super Bolan - why wasn't it ? I think if it were, it would have been a heck of alot better ! An average entry anyway - Eh Kay says - average.

This book really displays what the Bolan character is all about, he risks everything to stop and save some innocent civilians. One part Executioner, one part Sergeant Mercy. Awesome ! You've got to love those scenes. Bolan is not just some unstoppable killing machine, he cares about his fellow man - and Doug nails it in this one ! Great action and great supporting charaters ! Eh Kay says - don't miss it !

An average novel, you gotta love Bolan rescueing the kid in the beginning, classic. And the appearance of his nemesis - Strakhov - some good action and background on the situation. The negative is how Bolan manages to invade the foes base , not once but twice - talk about lax security - and the other thing that bothered me about some of these books is really obvious here - Bolan , the entire world is after him and he waltzs into a foreign country where he doesn't even speak the language - good thing everyone he runs into speaks english - including his enemies.

Hands down one of the BEST ! This is what Bolan is all about to me. Action, drama , action, intirgue, revenge, action and some more action, then mafia kills a loved one, and more action. Bolan moves around Miami - stalked by the cops and by the most malignant menace known to man - the Mafia. A true classic - Pendleton is God.

I read rainbow six then right after read this , and man oh man was this WAY better - it was kinda Clany minus 900 pages of mind numbing brain draining detail . Action, tech stuff, more action. Thank You Stony Man and GE for getting me back into this series back then - has it been five years ? wow - it has - anyways - Peace !

A little different than the others in this series - others have noted the originality of this one, and I agree with them, It was a refreshing take on a Bolan book, Newton really does a good job on this one. Lots of action and some cool shootouts, and it was really cool to see Bolan trying to build up the defenses of the Farm House. A kinda Mack Bolan meets the A-Team.

I agree with Professor X, I felt like hitting my head against the wall a couple of times while reading this one. It felt like the author wrote this one from start to finish in one sitting, without taking a break, or without a story or plot -"Okay, write a Bolan book - 1-2-3- GO!" anyway thats how I felt ... Eh Kay says - some other people really like this one.

One of the few books in this series I've read more than once, its straight forward action packed , and some good writing, not the best in the series, and not overly original, but a damn entertaining book. A little on the short side too....

This book is a perfect example of why, at the time this was released , I loved Phoenix Force ! Bolan is completely unstoppable. He is a Superhuman terrorist crushing cyborg !! It does have non stop action, but it does not compare to the Pendleton books, or how the current authors write him. A very sub-par book. Eh Kay says - groan ...

A by the numbers book, Bolan tracking down an old ally whos been kidknapped by a terrorist mastermind - not an outstanding book , but entertaining - one downside - I found myself in disbelief - "Did Bolan just shoot down a Fighter Jet with a greande launcher ?"... yes , yes he did. I had to shake that one off as it was a little painful ! But I did enjoy ! Eh Kay says - pretty good !

Some good action, some interesting characters, a couple of enjoyable moments. But Bolan kinda stumbles his way blindly through the dark in this one, theres a random terrorist attack at the beginning, that has Nothing to do with the rest of the book, and they just follow around some Muslim CIA informant who really has no leads in the case of the missing scientist either. But somehow they manage to accidentaly stumble across the bad guys eventually. Just an OK entry.... Peace ...

I kinda felt like this was adapted straight from a screenplay for one of those Chuck Norris 80's Cannon action films ... I imagined Bolan, not in black, but wearing skin tight blue jeans and a jean shirt with no sleaves, holding an M16/M203 . The villains seemed cartoonish and I kept having flash backs to Invasion USA for some reason. It was cheesy, but entertaining cheese nontheless - sounds like I'm knocking it, but really it wasn't that bad. Eh Kay says : and average Bolan.

I tried and tried and tried, and just could not get into this book, for some reason I was really , really bored by it. I barely made it halfway through. Maybe I will give it another chance sometime, but probably not. I know its probably wrong to write review for something I didn't even finsih, but too bad. I remember it started cool, but then just dragged on, and I was confuesd and lost ...I was hoping to get into a cool story that was more than just a one off in the series. Eh Kay says, I moved onto something else.

Sorry to those of you who hated it, my three stars will raise its rating out of the cellar. I too was kinda confused and a little lost, and also a little annoyed. And I kinda forget exactly what the hell it was about, but I do remember a couple of good action scenes, and the idea of the bus was ... interesting . I thought the ending was over the top and ridiculous, but I can't rate it lower than three. It was bad, but I've endured much worse. Eh Kay says, thats my opinion anyway.

I think I liked this book for the reasons that Joshua disliked it, the plot was straight forward and there was tons of action. I remember reading this as a kid and really liking the teenage kid Bolan drags along, though this was kind of a dumb move on his part as Bolan ussualy worries about endangering lives, not here though. Not really a great book, but for some reason I really enjoyed it, and I loved the old ladies feeding the pigs ( you know what I mean ) . Eh Kay says , lots o action !

Is it me or did April Rose spend more time being captured than she did accually doing work ? I figure the character, with the red hair and penchant for being abducted was obviously based upon Scooby Doos , Daphne. This was just a so so book, in my books, the Plot was a little generic and the whole contry and western festival seemed kinda silly. Some good action and April wasn't as annoying as normal. Bolan stepping in the ring and holding his own against a pro boxer was again, kinda weak. Eh Kay says, ok .

The story; a piece of evidence that can bring down an evil group of ruthless buisnesmen is sent to the U.S. , an unsuspecting Stony Man worker is drawn into the action, and Bolan shows up on the scene to save the day and secure the elusive disk. Sound original, not really, are the characters super original, no, but why I rated this one so high, is that its what this author does with it ! Its an action packed chase with Bolan barley staying one step ahead of the well armed mercs and cutthroat villains. From Washington to Colorado, through cilly snow covered mountains, this one was Awesome ! Eh Kay says, superb !

I'm rating this one a TWO , just cause this idiot wrote Cambodia Clash as well ... As someone else already pointed out .. Bolan rides a freaking elephant and kills like 200 guys single handedly !! Wow, what a master strategist ! lets put some punji sticks on the side of the trail, and I'll ride an elephant through them !! I coulda come with that moronic plan ! nuff said ... skip it !

This is bottom of the barrel offensive TRASH !! I only made it 47 pages in and Bolan has let the family of a traitor , thats wife and kids, be gunned down by his ally , then he stands by while his allies shoot an unarmed woman in the head, THEN Bolan shoots an unarmed handcuffed KGB agent in the back of the head as the guy tries to flee ... THEN even worse , he strangles to death another UNCONCIOUS KGB guy, THEN he lures that guys unarmed wife into his room where he proceeds to bludgeon her to death !! THEN he tosses the body into the closet and goes to bed ! with the Khmer Rouge chick !! This is absolute freaking crap ! This is freaking offensive ! It deserves a zero !! I'd like to slap the author of this in the head ! Eh Kay says ... this is the WORST !!!

An average Bolan entry. Story moved along pretty well, there was some decent action. Plot was a little generic, the former blacksuit texas ranger dude was a good sidekick. But there was nothing outstanding in this one. I blew through it in a day and a half, so it did keep me interested. Check it out.

The week started out great , Monday was very impressive, Tuesday, not too bad, Wednesday ... a little confusing. I liked the opening scene, kinda ties up the end of Tuesday and leads into Wednesday. Again I have a problem with Bolan dressing up as the Turkey doctor ( putting on the guys clothes and graying his hair a bit ) and then going off to meet up with his Mob contacts - he already suspects a CIA connection - that's not the bad part, the bad part is, after a meeting with some errand boys, he decides to waltz right into a fortified Mob/Milita base posing as this doctor - that he knew for 5 seconds before blowing the guys head off . He has NO IDEA at this time if anyone knows who the guy is , why walk into their base ? For such a "Military Genius and Super Elite Tactician whos survived 30 plus campaigns by being fully prepared for every situation" ... this is the Stupidest move in history ... but there were some good parts to this one, and some good scenes. I was torn on what to give this one, but for the bone headed role camo , i give it a four ...

Yet another day of the week, and yet another novel with me wishing Bolan would put a 44 slug into April Rose's head. She must have been good looking cause she sure was annoying. Every time she speaks she's begging him to take her to bed, I mean everytime she opens her stupid mouth. What did he see in her? she seems kinda smart, but how did she make it through life? Oh well, this book was kinda weak. As the previous reviewer noted, why is Bolan in FL, since all thats going on is some smuggling. I liked that Grimaldi was in it, and there was some important info at the end, but not really worth it overall.

After having read Satans Sabbath and then this, well really I think this should have been then end of the Mafia Wars, you really get the feeling this is like the last in a series - I mean he wipes out the main bosses ( of New York ) and then confronts the Head of the Aces, and that ties up a whole bunch of the story, this one had a real feeling of closure on the first 28 other books - I kinda got the feeling like this was the end ( starting in on number 30 now, it kinda feels weird ) Overall this was one of the best of the series to date - This is where I liked the "role camo" I really bought it in this one. And anything that even mentions the Talifero brothers is cool, they were my favs. This one has it all, Leo working his charm and walking that thin line, Hal kicking butt and Bolan blitzing and double crossing every mobster in sight. He really does them in , in Bolan fashion, preys on their weakness and goes in for the Kill . Hands down , one of the best ever , Yeah, check it out !

A decent entry into the series, nothing too spectacular. My fav character was the scientist who finally builds up the courage to help out the woman he has a crush on, that was some pretty good writing, I really felt for that nerdy guy. Novel takes place over like a two day period, Bolan guns down about 50 soldiers in the first 4 hours , that was pushing it a little, but I did like when he finally teamed up with the local Ohm chapter, and the final assault on the base was pretty classic Bolan stuff.

Holy Crap! This is a great book ! Fast paced, great plot, even better characters ! But make sure you pay attention to this one, cause you don't want to miss anything. I was real glad I picked this one up. This author has written some seriously cool books, and this one is as good as Ballistic Force ! There are a few characters andd some twists , so like I said , pay close attention and enjoy the ride ... Eh Kay says don't miss !

The negative for me was ... I was hoping more for Bolan to be tracking down the Ripper copy cat , he was, but of course the Ripper is tied into a terror plot. So like the other reviewer noted , the ripper having SAS trained back up kinda caught me off guard, but from there on in I really got into this one. The ending in France was truly awesome ! There are some great authors for this series right now putting out some great work ! And I am truly enjoying it! Thanks !

Chuck "Blood" Rogers is back with another exciting entry! I am still trying to track down all of Chucks stuff cause he is definitely one of my favs ! He does it again here with another awesome Bolan book. Great dialogue, cool story, bad guys you want to see Bolan burn, and great action ! Eh Kay says check it out !

I really liked most of this book, but it was the ending I really didn't get, I know they were trying something different, but I just didn't buy it. Other than that I thought it had some real cool inteligent villains and some good action scenes. Overall it was an OK.

Yeah , this one was an ok read, It seemed a little too far fetched, some good action scenes, but yeah that torture scene was a little weird. I did enjoy the cool old cars, but there were a few too many.

Sorry everyone, I just couldn't get into this book at all - some high security lock down they have going on , Bolan and McCarter waltz thru and walk into the old hot zone - how, you have to read to beleive ! Hey, your boss is an ass, lets let some dudes endanger everyone on the planets life. Then some other guys toss some CS or smoke and run in as well. Who were these clowns protecting this place? Not to mention that people manage to escape as well. I was hoping to read some cool zombie inspired action, and all we get is them running around some hallways and up and down stairs the whole time . And another thing is this book is only like 180 pages, it's got 30 pages of filler from another upcoming novel. Ripo off ! In my opinion, I'd say skip this one !

Upon reading this again, it was so focused on Calvin it was kinda strange, I guess they wanted to set up the end a little better - but I would of preferred KO to have bigger role in his last novel. But that is my only complaint with this book. Overall it truly kicked ass, non stop PF at its best. Eh Kay says do not miss this one !

Not the best PF book out there but it seemed to really set the kinda standard for the later books plots. McCarter was pretty annoying in this one, but there were a couple of good scenes of the bad guys , though they were really incompetent weren't they ! A little less action than normal, and not as good a Fieldhouse book , but I kinda enjoyed it. Eh Kay

I BARELY finished this one, it's not that it was badly written, it was just really , really boring. Nothing happened ! And the characters just seemed really different, I know it was only the second book, but you would have no idea that Katz is the leader in this one, its Raf all the way, Manning and McCarter seemed okay, but the characters were kinda wandering around through the jungle doing nothing. Sorry, it was a waste of time.

A decent novel, good characters and some cool sleuth work by the boys of the Force. Autopsies, investigating crime scenes and some good action. Villains were interesting , but I didn't really buy their evil scheme. If the local people can't get along with each other and are sparked to violent protest in the street, they're gonna sit by and let the white MINORITY impose a Nazi regime ? Oh well the action makes up for that little curiosity . Check it out !

Whomever said time heals all wounds, never endured the bluntforce soul crushing trauma that this "novel" inflicts on one. I am tempted to burn my copy, but fear of what evil havoc the fumes may bring upon our wonderful earth have stopped me from doing so. So, what I'm saying is save yourself some pain, learn from a fellow fan, AVOID !!! Eh Kay says "peace"

Sweet ! All I can say is SHOGUNS ASSASSIN ! That first chapter was awesome ! I was a little afraid it was going to turn into some weird past life thing, but again the author handled it real well . Great characters, great action, great writing, you had the sense of them struggling through that jungle, covered in grime and dirt, soaking wet and shivering. Man, made me feel like I was there . I liked the little truce between factions that seemed to keep switching back and forth and the Yakuza dude with a real sense of honour - and I really liked the young Yakuza who kept getting knocked outta action, I really felt for him . Hey, Bolan doesn't save the world here . No missing nukes, no chemical weapons, no biological terror weapons, no world domination plans , just one bad dude terrorizing the locals. And its great. We can't have Bolan stopping a doomsday plot in EVERY SINGLE novel. This kinda goes back to the mafia wars, theres a bad guy pushing people around and killing local authorities, and Bolan is out to stop the guy. The sidekicks were a little annoying, and how the girl "snuck" away - what the heck happened to Bolans combat power naps - I thought he noticed everything ? Oh well - nice to see Bolan screw up once in a while ! End was a little predictable, but man aside from those couple things, I really liked this one !! Eh Kay, says check it out ! Peace --

If my memory serves me ( and it may not on this one ) but I thought Bolan got shot early on in the shoulder from an AK, then again he takes a 50 cal round to the shoulder. Wow, impressive - then has a hand to hand battle with some dude near the end --- arghhhh !! I don't expect super realism from a Bolan novel, but I ain't that gullable - this one was a bit on the painful side - much worse than a a 50 caliber round to the shoulder !

I read this almost at the same time as "Renegade Agent" which I freaking hated - I don't really beleive this is by the same author . Earlier reviewer noted that as well ( was this really the same guy ? ) anyway, I kinda liked this one, but I had to give it a low rating for all the war journal and deep thought crap that Bolan does, Pendelton handled that well, this author does not. There is some real intersting background info on Turkey and Armenia -- which was nicely handled .Its a below average novel in the early stage of Bolans New War . Eh Kay says , read if you must ---

Yeah ... straight to the point terrorist butt kicking action, Bolan busts up a terrorist camp in the swamp, this is one of those real quick easy to read , hard not to enjoy books ! This ain't no thinking mans book, but that ain't what you're looking for when you pick up Bolan. Fast paced action packed villain blasting fun, what Bolan is all about - Eh Kay says check it !

I'll start with the negative - bad guys in california kill a buddy of a Stony Man agent - and now completely totaly unrelated on the other side of the Globe , purely by coincidence bad guys kidknap a relative of a Stony Man agent. Rather hard to buy .... BUT ... the rest of this book kicks butt !! This is way more of an ensemble cast of characters as Bolan takes a back seat, and barely fires a shot for like 200 pages, but man who cares ! This one kicked some serious butt - Eh Kay says - check it !

A great read. I felt this one was well above average for this era of Bolan, brought back characters and locale from an all time classic. Should almost be read back to back with Miami massacre. Eh Kay says - don't miss it !

Okay, so you are an ultra secret Greek terror outfit that has been operating for decades and no one even knows who the members are, and on the eve of your biggest attack ever you bring in a new member, oh did we mention this new member is an American , who doesn't speak Greek and is a half brother of someone you barely know, then you put him in charge of the tactical aspects of your big attack ... hmm ... to be honest , for some reason I didn't buy this at all. Sorry but they went on and on about how super secret their membership was and how NO ONE had been able to infiltrate it ... I know the author tried to give us an explanation for this, but I still didn't buy it. There were some good action scenes and some great little escapes here and there and even some likeable characters, but overall it was a little far fetched. Eh Kay , says half good ( or half bad , whichever you choose )

I rated this probably a little higher cause I just finished "Renegade Agent" - uhhh - anyway , I enjoyed this one, the flight stuff was kind different for a change - where did Bolan pick up his helicopter skills by the way ? They seem to come and go, could be just me. The bad guys were kinda generic , I liked the Vietnam Vet characters, thought that was a nice touch. And it was a great descrition of the old SR-71 ... Eh Kay , says - pretty good little read.

What can I say ? Instead of Bolan turning that body-shredding hellfire on terrorists, he should turn it on this Novel ! What a snoozefest ! I laughed , I cried, I was completely annoyed. This was not the Worst book ever, but man was it close ! I finished it two days ago and I already forgot everything that happened in it ! Avoid at all cost !!

Pretty good entry ! Like the other reviewer noted , I too was confused by the bounty hunter Bolan ran into. I thought I had just missed something or wasn't paying attention, I guess it wasn't just me who was confused. That and the fact that Bolan happens to show up at the EXACT moment the bounty hunters are trying their rescue attempt was a little far fetched. But I guess it is the world of Bolan. I always come back to the villains, the've gotta be good, well you know what I mean, they gotta hold my interest - and the ones in this book were great ! One other little thing, I know it doesn't matter , but I think it mentions the chinese dude has no hair and no eyebrows but the bad dude on the cover has hair , and eyebrows. I guess I'm being a bit picky. Eh Kay says - well worth the effort.

Two Questions ... one - Is there still room left on the bandwagon ? And two - how do you spell AWESOME ?? This was one kick ass book. Action packed , fantastic villains , and amazing writing. One of the best I've read of this or any of the other series . I've been trying to save my 10 star review for a book that was really worthy and really stood out from the rest of the pack , and for a "series" that has HUNDREDS of books in it, this one is a true standout ! A classic that will be recommended for years to come, and that hopefully will raise the bar for the whole library ! Eh Kay says - if you miss this book, well, you're an idiot !! Peace !

A great book, but two words come to mind - Tom Clancy - this really reminded me of one of his books, the way the action jumps back and forth all over the place. Of course minus about 900 pages of painful description - there have been a few books by this author that I didn't enjoy too much , but this one was well worth it. It kicked some serious ass - and that hot blonde babe on the cover - man o man, she's fine ! Eh Kay says check Her out - and the book too.

I felt this one had real potential, it was different, and I liked the first half or so. I was hoping it would turn into a Bolanized version of Die Hard. And him and some of the hostages would team up and bust out. They spent so much time setting up the Hostage taking, but then the Law Dogs bust in and Bolan breaks free just like that . I like the long battle in the Hotel, but I really didn't like the end, it just seemed a little too plain. Eh Kay , says - not the best Bolan.

Uh, ahh , i liked the first few chapters , and the young Somali warrior with a conscience was real interesting start , but then it went down hill fast. The first moment we see Bolan with these Cobra dudes , he knows they are bad. Then they trapse around blasting terrorists for another 250 pages ... Bolan - "Hmm I think these guys are bad , but I'll stick with them". And I had no idea what their plot was - kidknap and deliver these terrorist Leaders to Iran so Russians can sell them WMD's and then .... huh ? What was the Iranians plot ? ? Do I care anymore ? I did give it five stars for some good action, with a great beggining and pretty decent end , but the middle seemed like a lot of filler. Eh Kay would say skip this one for now ! PS We had Cobra Commander , but where was Destro and Serpentor ?

I usually steer clear of the Super Bolans ( having had a bad experience or two ) but I have to say I found this one quite impressive, it shows what you can do with the extra hundred or so pages . It didn't feel like it was just dragged out extra long, it just got a little more in depth into the Villains and characters. None of them were outstanding - but - it was a great cast of Characters overall. The female sidekick was written pretty well, she wasn't super hopeless or a total ass-kicker, she seemed like a real person . Also its just a good old fashioned Bolan vs the Mafia book, sometimes I tire of the World domination schemes , it was a refreshing book, and it had some great action of course !! Eh Kay says check it out !!

Seriously , this one kicked ass ! I was dissapointed with a couple before this, but this one really worked for me. It starts alot like Canadian Crisis - Bolans gonna bust up a Mob Meet in a foreign land, then after a while it gets real interesting ! There's a little truce between Bolan and a local mobster, a mysterious woman, a washed up film star and Bolan destroying planes yachts and mansions. I liked the little mystery in the middle, Bolan investigating a crime scene and trying to track down a traitor, I thought it was great little addition. Eh Kay says Check it out !

I really enjoyed this book. It definitely kept you on your toes. Mossad agent, renegade Mossad hit squad, Hammas agents, Taliban fighters, U.S. Marines and Special forces , and of course Bolan stuck in the middle. Moved along real nicely , action scenes were great ! I got a little confused a couple of times (having put it down for a day or two ) as to who was where and who was teamed up with who. But I thought this one really kicked ass. I like when Bolan goes it alone even if it it creates friction for Brognola. The Mujahadeen fighter - the uncle , was that the guy from "Terminal Velocity" ? Anyone ?

Glad to see I wasn't the only one confused by this dissapointing entry. My mind was so numb from trying to figure out the enemies ploy, that I completely lost interest. It started out cool, but then fell apart real fast, yeah. How can you have a big diabolical plot to overtake the world , then never really explain what the plot is. Bolan just blows up a warehouse full of "machinery" , Huh? It was cool to see Grimaldi and Leo, but other than that ... Eh Kay says skip it.

Good action and some good villans , but the others have it pegged - I do not like how Mr Robbins writes relationships between men and woman - I've read some other of Robbins stuff, like Spook Night and ( I think it was called ) Helloween ? anyway they kinda remind me of this book, its a good idea and theres some good writing, and you want to like it - but it just seems kinda silly and juevenille. Eh Kay cannot really recomend this book , but it does have a real cool cover, Mack with the M-16 / M203 and the babe with a garrote. C'mon ! Hot babe ready to strangle ya ! Now thats a woman ! eh Kay out - !

I found it kinda refreshing, the villan that is. You get the idea from the cover of the book, the young disillusioned college students who think they are gonna change the world - they aren't counting on Mr Bolan though. A good read. The undercover stuff sometimes gets tiresome in these books , how Bolan always has to "Prove" himself. The mission he does to prove he's on the bad guys side was a little far fetched - shooting live rounds mere inches away from some guys head - Would I volunteer for that - I guess I would if Bolan was on the other end of the sniper rifle, but overall a great little novel. Eh Kay says check it out !

A pretty entertainig read. I like the bad guy Gothe, his underlings were a little weak. Lima seemed a little too dumb. I liked the sidekick undercover agent, great undercover agent but a bad shot. Though he seemed to do pretty good. Story moved along real nice, but the countdown of how many bad guys kinda drew me outta it, Mack kills like what 60 guys in the last 50 pages ? It kinda harkened back to the old days, big crime boss - he's not bent on hell on earth, just a fat greedy old Mobster, one step away from retirement, who's years of crime are gonna come back to haunt him when he meets up with the man in black. Eh Kay says Check it out !

Bad. Bad . Bad . Avoid this one at all cost. Check out tooth and claw if you want a good PF book. I think someone said this before , but really, it's like whoever wrote this had no idea who the characters were. I just didn't buy it at all ! It's funny that the russian "town" had been mentioned in an earlier novel, but that was about the only thing going for this one. I read this back to back with the other novel by the same author. I guess they were stuck for material at this time. And when they're surrounded by like 100 gun men for an hour, they come with the ingenious plan to chuck a couple of frags and Run out the BACK DOOR ! C'MON !

Awesome book. I've read probably about a hundred of the series over the years and this one is a true standout. I picked it up cause of all the glowing reviews on here. And man was I pleased. I've been trying to pick up all the Chuck Rogers stuff, cause I love the way he writes Bolan. Only drawback of course is that it's cool that James and IronMan ( who I don't care for ) are in this one, it's just that they really take a backseat, you'd think they are just a couple of wannabees . But I guess it is a Bolan book, not a StonyMan. And there were uh, um , a few too many chokings. Like what 5 times Bolan gets strangled ? But I digress. Rogers writes Bolan like he should be written, he's not Superman, just one very dangerous, smart deadly customer. Who kicks some serious terrorist ass throughout this whole action packed novel. Eh Kay says - check it out!
