Jack

I loved this book enough that I could talk about it all day so I’ll try to give a down and dirty review that someone can actually read in a couple minutes. I feel that with the amount of these books published every year variety and changes in format between books is important to keep the stories and characters fresh. The Indiana Jones-ish plot to this book was a cool change in pace. We’ve seen many titles featuring mercenary crews but I don’t recall any that were nearly as interesting as the dirty dozen or so Bolan leads in the Ural Mountains in this book. Some Bolan books (particularly SuperBolans) suffer from weak supporting characters that drag down and slow down the story. Not the case here, they made the atmosphere more interesting and helped accelerate the plot right along. My favorite was Blair, the ex-3/75 Ranger who is a little intense and likes to jack steel in the gym. 3/75 is my old battalion so I am a little biased but I think Rogers got the personality nailed down pretty good (for better or worse). The research put into this book was also appreciated. At one point Bolan mentions how Russians prefer to use infantry to fix the enemy in place before cleaning them out with air strikes. In the US Army we take the opposite approach of course. Also, Bolan’s in depth knowledge about the VSS rifle/SMG was right on. On that note I love the way Rogers writes Bolan because he comes across as exactly what you would expect the world’s greatest warrior to be. Mature, experienced, and with a depth of knowledge of all things related to intelligence, combat, and foreign cultures. The guy you send in at the 11th hour. As I said up top I could go on much longer here but I hope this gives enough information to convince Bolan readers to go out and pick this title up, its definitely worth your time.

I had high hopes for this one but it bored me...Still it had some high points of good chracterization but I still only got half way through it.

I'm just going to say "Kicked ass" and leave it at that since further discription of how good this one was is beyond my vocabulary...

Maybe they were afraid of getting sued if they spelled it the right way...These days i guess you have to watch that sort of thing, besides that i think this book kicked alot of ass! Good plot and it was cool having the dam blow with bolan on it!

OK without giveing away the ending what mack does to the two main bad guys in this books is what the executioner is all about, most of the time mack has to kill the bad guy in self defense at the end of the book, but not in this one he lives up to his executioner name just like he used too. Besides that this was a cool book with a great story and yeah haveing that hurricane during the firefight made that scene alot more exiteing

Jerry van Cook knows how to write, he just keeps writting great storys! What makes this book better then most others is that the "enemy withen" has very complex mental problems (as well as physical problems)but this was gone into in the story and improved it over most other Mack Bolan books. As usual all the other characters were written very well. I hope breach of trust is going to be as good as this one was.

A very good book, i really liked the supporting characters in this book. But strangly the cover seems to have little to do with the book, that missle on the front cover has nothing to do with the books and on the back cover thier is a stealth helochopter, a tank, and Bolan with a RPG. But none of these things exist in the story. But even though the cover got me confused, this was a very good book with a cool ending.

This was one of the best super bolans ive read so far. It was awsome when the srerial killers raided that whole town. Bolna took on every last one of the murders. Good coputer stuff and action. Was also a very original story

I have to agree, this was a great book. It had good dicriptions of how good freinds mack and katz are and the plot was much better then usual. I liked the ending scene a lot too.

I though the power trilogy was awsome and this was a nice bolan-like ending to it. Over all it was much better then the american trilogy because it had a better plot and well funded and a well oganized terrorist group.

I liked this one a lot it put a new spin on the nuclear bomb type story that i thought was played out. I liked the plot twists in this one too as others have mentioned. And for my theory on the ending. The bad guy was picked up in the ocean by the hardliners so he could be exploted for his "talents". I hope to see a tie in with these charactors again.

This one was pretty good. i liked the technical support mack got from stonyman but he was still working alone. This one had some awsome action scenes in the ocean (I agree much like deep attack, but remained orginal). The only problem was the tie in with the japanese mob and the nuclear waste confused me for a chapter or two.

I though this was better the average executioner book, i really liked the idea of bolan distroying a secret, ancient, nazi society and all the micro wave weapons were interesting also.

I hope all the new trilogys are as good as this one was. These were some awesome books. I liked mack going up against that witch women and escaping from her sons, I also liked Able with the texas rangers and Hix was a pretty cool character also. Most of all I liked the action scenes when Mack had to protect the mexican president!
