Now this was one entertaining book. I loved the concept of the "bizarro" Stony Man, those were some very scary enemies for Mack. The book really kept me guessing, many times I thought to myself, "how is he going to get out of this situation". Chuck Rogers kept coming up with great, inventive ways for Mack to keep up the good fight. I kept thinking Phoenix was going to arrive at the final battle for a huge showdown between the two groups, but was pleasantly surprised that Chuck let Mack and Del Carpio take them on themselves. I can't even begin to describe to graveyard scene with Mack, absolutely stunning to visualize as I was reading it. Well done.

I don't read many Mack Bolan's anymore, I love the series I just don't have enough reading time to squeeze one in every once in a while. It was with great excitement though that I purchased Blood Trade, I had been eagerly awaiting it based on Doug's fan fics. It did not disappoint me at all. It was great to see a more emotional Bolan, one who felt truly connected to those he was helping. I also loved the appearance of Sgt. Mercy many times, it was refreshing to see a more complete range of emotions from Bolan and the actions scenes were fantastic also. I look forward to more books from Doug and will always make time for them.

Wow, what a book. This is not your typical Bolan cookie cutter plot. Since this was Book II of the ComCon trilogy I was expecting more of the same from Book I, but I was surprised as it really delved into SplatterPunk and the religious foundation for the Nazis. Montgomery does a great job separating Bolan and his beliefs from the Nazis and what they want to do, there is a true difference between good and evil. I can't wait for the final book of this trilogy.

Outstanding book from a first time author. About time that Gold Eagle let someone develop a story line like ComCon. It was refreshing to see this characterization of Mack, much less PC than some other books. I can't wait to continue this trilogy. A few parts of this book did feel disjointed but Montgomery got them back on track quicly. I agree with the others, Lyons should have been there and not McCarter.

Another quality book from Kasner and I pretty much agree with Doug and his review. I didn't like that Jim Gordon was so protective of Price, such a dedicated KGB sleeper agent who wants to destroy the farm wouldn't be swayed by some blonde floozy. To say the "final showdown" between Gordon and Able Team was anti-climatic is being kind - I know there is a page limit to the books but that could have been a little meatier. I did like the reporter storyline, I thought it related Stony Man Farm to a more everyday world environment that the readers live in, we can all relate to a nosy investigative reporter and "our sister's eldest who is out of work." I loved the Simba storyline, that was really cool and a little different from what we have been getting lately.

Another outstanding Stony Man from Kasner - he is putting together a body of work that one day may approach William Fieldhouse. I loved this book because of the ingenuity in the plot, it was just so different and put the Stony Man warriors in a completely different environment then they were accustomed and it was fun to see how they responded. I can't wait for Kasner's next book.

Excellent entry from Kasner. I liked how Able Team had a separate mission in this story, and Kasner gave space to develop it. If you like Blancanales then this book is for you, a lot of Able Team's story revolves around him. I also liked the character of J.R. Rust and hope we get to see him again. I think that #42 and #43, Fall of the West, is Kasner's best work yet.

Just finished this book last night, and like Terry I read it very quickly. I really thought this was one of Kasner's best books. I thought he did an excellent job switching between locations an as always his attention to detail is greatly appreciated. Like Alice, the only problem I had was with how much they were telling JR Rust about the Farm and its operations. I can't wait for the finale.

Fantastic entry from Kasner. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and was probably as shocked as everyone else about the deaths of the two team members. I loved the final attack against the Mother Site as well as having all the characters represented in this one. It was great to see Kissinger fighting w/ the team. This is one that will be reread again.

I really disliked this book. I thought the story and writing were very weak. I had no emotional interest in this book at all, I really didn't feel "threatened" by the villains or conspiracy in this book. As for the action, yes there are a lot of ambushes, but considering how loaded down Bolan often was (93-R, Desert Eagle, Uzi, M-16, dagger and the occasional LAW) I didn't get the feeling that this was a classic Bolan blitz, I felt shortchanged after each action scene and the ending was just horrible.

Who wrote this outstanding book? I tore through it in 1 day. I really liked the story even though it involves the old "drug kingpin". What made the book so exciting was the writing style, the author would look at the same scene (in different chapters) from several different viewpoints. When you started a chapter you really weren't sure where you were going to be going. Can't wait for the next book in the trilogy.

When I get at Jerry Van Cook story, I know one thing I will be getting is a lot of info. about knives and hand to hand combat. If that interests you then this book is for you. Jerry does a great job taking an average plot line and making it fun. I loved the guys from the "Edge Quest" camp, there is no doubt in my mind that a lot of those guys had to be based on friend of Jerry. Anyway, I also was moved by the love story between Agent Holly and Samantha Bass. Good story, a lot of great hand to hand combat in here, and a lot of firefights also. The final scene with Bolan against 5 guys and him being minimally armed is great. A good overall read.

An excellent effort from Schmidt. Having lived here in the Washington, DC area for 10 years now I can truth fully say that Schmidt has now scared the s**t out of me. When I was driving on the beltway yesterday I kept looking at people expecting a car bomb, and of course I will never look at the Air & Space Museum the same way again. I have to give kudos to Schmidt for his research of the DC area, the Metro and roads mentioned were all right on. I liked Bolan in this one in that he had to wait until he could finally get Becker and his men where he wanted them, he couldn't go all out in a classic Bolan Blitz, he had to bide his time and outsmart Becker.

Good middle entry for the trilogy. Lots of loose ends to be tied up in part III. I am interested to if Mack gets to confront this witch lady once and for all. Able Team gets sent on its own mission, but it may not develop into very much. Phoenix Force is well represented in this book w/ one of the member's getting shot twice. Overall, a good quick read and I look forward to Part III to wrap all these storylines up.

Just finished reading this and it appears that the Border Fire trilogy will be much more exciting than the recently completed Four Horseman trilogy. Good focus on Mexico and its political situation with Bolan right in the middle of it. Lot's of action as Bolan must protect the Mexican president from numerous assassination attempts. I really enjoyed James' and Encizo's rescue mission. I am looking forward to parts II and III when Able Team arrives along with the rest of Phoenix Force.

Average book. I agree w/ everyone that the Able Team attack was great, but I thought the final battle was very anti-climatic. I wish that this would have been made into a SuperBolan instead to explore the VR a little more. Definitely not Fieldhouse's best work.

I loved this one. It had the perfect balance of plot and action. Carvaggio was also a great compliment to Bolan, with his special forces experience. I haven't read much of the old Executioners (mafia wars), but if this was any indication of the old Bolan, I'll be buying the old stories very soon.

It was good to see Mack taking on the Mafia and having the different families turn against each other. I really liked Carrvagio and hope that we get to see him again sometime, he and Mack definitely worked well together. I didn't really get hooked on this one, but it was a little above average. Overall, a good read.

Just read this book for the second time, I originally read it when it was first published. The action starts right from the first chapter and doesn't let up until the end. Good story, good nemesis, a quick and fun read.
