Dexter has reviewed this book real well and their is little I can add. The character development with the Chineese was good, nice touch throwing in a Hong Kong operative. Highly recommend both books in this dualogy.

This one was a solid read. I liked the way that Phoenix Force blitzed all the way from Turkey to Moscow. Nice touch with a Russian could be Bolan. This one was fun.

Oh Boy! Oh Boy! Oh Boy! This one is excelent!!!!!!!! It almost reads like Don Pendleton himself wrote it. I swear it reminds me of the mafia wars. Bolan using role camifloge (sp). Finding as he gets into the operation that it has as many heads as a hydra. The action is crisp and taunt, Bolan is in a blitz mode (with a little sergent mercy thrown in). He is not indistructible (that darn shoulder wound just will not stay stitched). This is the first book of a dualogy named the "Frontier Wars". and is a must read page turner. EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT. BZ to Jon Guenther

The last of the trilogy. The story is brought together (with te exception of explaining how Thone got his info so he knew where to hit Brognola and the others in the first 2 books) The female Huntsman was a nice touch (letting her blow away Demornay was cool also). Brognola straining to keep Stony Man a secret (again it is never explained how Cosgrove gets sensitive Stony Man intel) and gettng placed in the slammer is also a neat plot twist. Pheonix Force does a little blitzing in the middle east which is also entertaining. Able team helps the alcoholic wife of a captured alter find help, good also. Seven overall stars (need to read the first 2 or this one will make no sense.

First the good points the action is as always first rate. The murders in Monte Carlo are finally addressed. The Huntsman existence and reasons are fleshed out. Now for the not so good parts, (a) Bolan and Phoenix Force are attacked at the begining of the book and we don't know how the bad guys knew where they were/ This problem hapens several times in this book and the next one. (b) Thone is not mentioned but for a very small time in the whole book (part of what I think makes a Bolan book good is that the authors let us in on what the Bad guy is up to/thinking. Because of then above I rate it at a 5 star book.

This one has an strange start to it. A slaughter in Monte Carlo that is not mentioned again in the book. The search that Mack has for the Huntsman and to keep the felled huntman body keeps you iterested as does the involvement of Able Team (and late in the book Pheonix Force) The only thing that I could not keep up to speed on was how Thone new Brognola was going to be sent to Miami(though it is nice to see him out in field for a change) and why he was after him (I also failed to find Thone connection to the counterfit money though he mentions losses in Florida near the end of the book). Some of my questions may be answered in the next installment of this trilogy. But this one is a decent start, but only gets 7 stars due to the above stated reasons.

This one is not all that bad but I have read better (see Breakaway). Still the start was great; and it was a neat twist on the slavery angle. The interplay with the Stony Man base people was also entertaining (like how Barbara was supposed to be kept from finding out what Mack was up to by the Bear) I liked the way that Mack kept on Dong's rear foiling him all through the book. Katz was also good to be in this book. All in all 7 stars.

Out blessed standing. What a read. With Akira going into the field (sort of). And the Bear worring about getting him back in one piece (not to mention the dust up at the airport) As mentioned in other reviews the interplay with Lyons and the rubber bullet ploy were great for the plot. The advrsaries were also of James Bond caliber. This is a must read.

I am begining to really enjoy these Stony Man books. This one was quite good. Another 8 stars. I thought that the ending was quite acceptable. Nice to see the big man get an assist against the bad guy (yes I know some would have preferred to see Mack take him instead of Able team). Some of these Stony Man read more like mysteries of how the SM gang finds and gets the bad guys. I like that.

I thought this book was very good and an enjoyable read. Able team did not have as much to do in this one though. The setting in the Kashmir and afgahn area were good choices and the action and plot flowed nicely. I wonder if our sat intel could really be rigged to see a man like it did in the end. 8 stars.

I have just begun to read Bolan books agian (after an almost 20 year hiatus) and Baja Blitz was just like old times. Mack blitzed the hell out of Ramos, and having Johnny around added to the story. The charaterization of the homicide detective was well done also. Altogether a great read and enjoyable way to kill a rainy Sunday afternoon. Highly recommend this one.
