A good SuperBolan with plenty of action and some nice hand-to-hand combat. There is a lot of talk of characters from previous stories, but I haven't read that one. But that doesn't mean there are holes in the plot either. One really nice aspect was the minimal input from the Farm in this book. Sure, they were there to help out in spots, but once help was received, Bolan was back on his own. It was also great to see Bolan almost going alone on this with no assignment to follow. This one was about getting revenge and stopping the power-hungry Russians and their ilk. Some parts did get a bit soggy with Bolan mowing down the "extras" but as far as logic and action go, this one is jam-packed.

188 pages of non-stop action... and while intially the action is top shelf about a third of the way through, Crisis Nation falls flat. The Puerto Rican cops and villians are excellent and the ax warfare classic. But the problem is the story relies on far too much action and not enough logic. The end battle is a bit much and when the crisis is flushed out, the concept seems a bit weak. A member of Able Team shows up and the Farm seems to help out just because. This book probably would have been much better as a SuperBolan as the characters and motivations could have been expanded on and Mack could have been more than just an enforcer. But with that said, the first half of the book is really good.

Crazy Chinese use Hawaiian extremists in a plot to disrupt the US. In today's world, this concept might not be too far off. Great action and this one is really for fans of hand-to-hand and knife combat. The characters have great motivation and the villians are realistically evil. Especially their use of terrorist acts. Things blur in a few places (names, locations) but, as said before, the knife fights and action are exhilerating. Great read!

Great premise with terrorists, political shenanigans and stolen relief funds. However the book, while a good read, wasn't anything breath-taking. Bolan had a lot of help from the Stony Man Farm and even a few tag alongs. With a batch of villians and a rather abrupt ending, I was left wanting a bit more. Especially the underwater stuff. Fun and fast read though.

Drawpoint is an excellent Stony Man! Commie whackos, Green goons, stooges, pathetic politicans and other foul extremists all entangled into a yarn that really touches the current feelings and fears of today's political scene in the USA. Great action and the supporting cast was good and the villians better.

In the age of the Bird Flu, the Swine Flu and threats of bio-terrorism, Black Death Reprise is a great read. A cult decided to release a virus to kill 90% of the US and Mack Bolan and the Stony Man crew aim to stop it. Vast travels over the globe, great action and a plot that doesn't seem to fictional these days. Only complaint: The cult could have been given much more exposition. They were an interesting crew.

Ex-KGB goons, good Russian officers, finanical terrorists... really good story. In fact, The Judas Project is a great read. Plus the fact that some of the book took place in my home-State was nice. Great action and the Russians were an interesting lot. The only complaint would be the ending is rushed and been done before.

My first Stony Man - And it was really good. The concept of the X-Ships was unique and original. Also one awesome threat and some good action. It did get a little difficult with the story jumping all over the globe, but with the technology, it made sense. I wish we could had a bit more depth on all of the characters - this would be my only complaint.

For my first Executioner/Bolan book, I honestly didn't know what to really expect. I picked the book up on a whim because I have been interested in the series (from trolling this site) for a while and just decided to start here because this book was on the stand. Interesting story. I liked the terrorist organization lashing out against their foes based on a simplistic hate. Bolan's character was strong and his side kick was good too. The action was great - especially the shoot out. The only thing that made me give this book a 6/10 is that some of the supporting characters were really weak. Their impact on the overall story was just not that good and left me wanting more. Not only from these supporting characters, but in terms of background and motivation. It seemed they were just added to speckle this story with a bit of exposition. Will I read another Executioner? Sure thing.
