Kingston Carnage

Well.... like the other reviews i thought the story was slow until the battle in the sugarcane field with the "zombies" Other than that pretty standard stuff. Good to see my favorite character Calvin get some action on the side. 7 star effort.

Lots of similarities here with title 12 not a rewrite by any means but maybe a little more original stuff would have been good. As all of the other reviewers have said the absolute standout section of this title is when the Team venture into the cane fields and come across a group of zombies, some of the action scenes here are even better than the good standard throughout the rest of the title. Sadly apart from the above it is not one of the better titles in the series.

Zombie hunting we will go!!! You should read book 12 first although not required. I thought the action scenes like all Fieldhouse books were very good and is one of the best writers of the PF crew. I liked how James felt sick of going from mission to mission and the feeling of losing himself to multiple identies. Yes he should have been chewed out by Katz for disappearing for a night so he could have sex. The scene in the cotton field was very fun and rather chaotic but very well put together. Also the scene in the bar with James slicking off a man's thumb was also good. I really liked the character of Bristol. He went from an obnoxious jerk and slowly as you learned more about him you liked him more. The main plot was a bit disoriented. Ok the Haitians were first using covert ways to kill Americans to the zombies. I still couldn't figure out who exactly killed the Americans coverty. Obviously not the zombies. I guess Penn's people but you never knew who did it beyond the Haitians being behind it. Also why not do the zombie killings from the start? A solid 6. Slightly above average.

A decent entry in the series, some parts were boring, but the battle with the zombies was really creepy, something I never expected to read in a PF book. The action scenes were well written, overall a pretty good but not outstanding book from Fieldhouse.

Good book. Liked the zombie battle.

Good sequel to #12. It was slow at first, but when the Force engaged with the zombie killers, it really took off.
