When a Mexican national captures the murder of an innocent couple on video, Mack Bolan is tasked with protecting the young man and delivering his evidence to authorities. But then the killer turns out to be a high-powered cartel boss intent on destroying any trace of his crime including the witness. Suddenly the man with the video is running for his life, and Bolan has no choice but to join the chase. A hired assassin and his army of trained killers outnumber Bolan in the unfamiliar Mexican territory, and he must rely on quick thinking and guerrilla style tactics to wipe out the enemy and ensure the safety of the one man who can shutter the gang's operations for good. The cartel is fighting dirty, but the Executioner is about to lay down his signature brand of cleansing fire.

Very much an "episode of the week" style of adventure. A small Texas town has a local drug baron who seems to like killing people with a baseball bat. This is witnessed by his Mexican gardener who then flees to Mexico to hide. Bolan is brought in to rescue the witness and bring the local drug baron to justice while evading a Mexican cartel that have been brought in to kill the witness. For Bolan it is all too easy and there is little to no challenge. The Mexican goons are near incompetent and fall easily to Bolan's marksmanship. The cartel leader is a lunatic who rants and yells and does little else. What is not clear is why did Bolan feel that rescuing the witness was enough. He could have easily gone after the Texas gangster once the Mexican cartel was wiped out. So no real hardship for Bolan, just a run of the mill mission, but there were no real flaws either (why didn't the witness simply email the video footage to the Justice dept? Why didn't the Justice dept request this at the beginning?) so all in all an ok adventure.

Classic Bolan...he's alone with no backup in enemy territory trying to bring in a witness to a grisly murder by a client of the cartel. So, it's hit and run as the cartel gunners chase them across Mexico. Bolan mercilessly stalks his prey, taking them out one at a time, then get's trapped in a ravine, and makes a narrow escape. The final gun battle was explosive and vintage Linaker.
