Fast Strike

This book starts off with a plot that is rather murky and remains so for much of the novel. I liked many of the scenes in the story, as Odom is really good with these kind of things, especialy the character interaction. But the plot is hard to follow, not that it is really important because it is really a mystery Bolan must solve, concerning who is doing what and why. The Falkenhayn woman was a fantastic character, which helped this novel a lot. She was involved with so many agencies though, which added to the confusion of this book. You really have to be on your toes to follow all the characters in here, and all of their various allegiences. Bolan is caught up in the middle of it all, and relies heavily on help from Kurtzman, Brognola, and others to supply him information. The ending was kind of disappointing, making this book just an average book in general, but at least the story is an interesting and imaginative entry in the series.

Another middle of the road title in the series. I actually quite liked the plot in this one and I liked the Falkenhayn character wondering whose side she was actually on. But thats about it I found it difficult to read having to plod through some sections. Not one I would recommend. my two bobs worth........

This book should have had it all........great plot and interesting story but sadly it failed to delivery so yet again the description on the back of a yet another Mack Bolan book didn´t do it justice. Why? Well, the book was a confusing one to read as it was disjointed and badly written and throughout the book it was very difficult to tell who was a friend and who was the enemy or both. The plot was very slow, too many characters made it very confusing and the "action" kept on shifting from city to city without explaining how one can go between these cities as fast as it was constantly done. The book started out great but most of the book and the end was terrible. Why do people get paid to write books like these? (2003)

Bolan is in Germany in the tumultuous days just after the wall fell. Reunification allies and foes are battling, and the Executioner is in the thick of it. This one has Bolan the espionage agent in it, and that is *NOT* his strength. God, he doesn't even speak passable German, but the president of the US is asking him to look into the situation. Friends and enemies are not resolved until the last 20 pages, making for a confusing read. Bolan just blunders along, taking the occasional pot shot at a villain but never knowing who he is fighting. Overall, this one fails to satisfy on a number of counts, and isn't worth the read.

I have to admit, I was a tad confused at times while reading this one. It seemed disjointed, and I never seemed to settle into the plot. The action scenes were fairly decent, but not enough to save this.

pretty good, I thought it had more words than action...pick this one up at a used bookstore and you've got a pretty decent read. Real interesting take on the early 90's German situation, writer seemed to know a lot of background there

A so-so entry. The plot jumped around a little too much. The first half of the book was just a bunch of chase scenes that didn't make sense at first. The Firenze female character could have been put to better use. There has been better tries, much better.
