Cajun crackdown. When a U.S. Marshal goes missing in New Orleans, Mack Bolan sets out on a search and rescue mission and is thrown into an intricate web of corruption. It seems the Mafia is alive and well in the Big Easy and operating under the rule of a powerful new leader. The Executioner decides it's time to pay the crime family a visit and make them an offer they won't have a chance to refuse.

Like the other reviews, I, too seemed to think that the Bolan character was slightly off. The story had potential, but there wasn't a lot of action, and Bolan going through this one with mostly pistols didn't help. The Remy character was good, though, and it did have a decent, fast-paced conclusion.

Well a very good read here disregarding what name the author wishes to publish his work under. First up effort in this series and a excellent title submitted with a major caveat later on. I loved the read and found the writing style refreshing the characters introduced were excellent and it is a Mafia story what more can you ask for? Recommended reading here and very much looking forward to this authors next release in whatever name he chooses to publish under. BUT only a rating of 3 you may ask. Simple Mr. author I can only hope prior to you releasing your second work in this series which has already been published you actually spent some time in researching the character you are writing about if you did you would find a MAJOR FLAW with your first release in this series. HE DOES NOT KILL COPS! FULL STOP, END OF STORY EVEN CORRUPT ONES. HE DOES NOT KILL COPS! FIVE stars deducted from what was a good read in the series.

This is a great, fun story with memorable characters of whom I would love to see more. It doesn't get oversaturated with action, making the action stand out as good action should do. I think the author has a great handle on the character, and I look forward to reading more of his titles in the future.

This is the worst Mack Bolan book I have ever read. I started reading at number 1 and this book totally ignores the history of the character. Bolan doesn't kill cops, even dirty ones. He also doesn't go into combat with just a pistol. He would never leave someone at the hands of the enemy. Terrible writing. The editors should know better

Shadow Hunt is a great book! I hope Russell Davis gets many more opportunities to story-tell about the Executioner. In his first attempt, Davis created a great story of mafia and corrupt local and federal authorities. When Bolan is called to look into the disappearance of a US Marshall, he soon finds himself in a no-win situation. However, with the aid of a couple unlikely heroes, the Executioner soon turns the odds and lives to tell about it. The final chase scene is masterfully done, and I really enjoyed getting into the mind of Nick as he contemplated the man that was after him. I also hope Remy takes Bolan's advice and makes the call. It'd be great to see him in Stony Man in the future. Thanks Mr. Davis for a great read!
