Ho Hum zzzzzzzzzzz This author has made an absolute fortune from rewrites in the past and whilst it would be fair to say that this title is not one of them maybe we could put it into the blurred photocopy title section. There is nothing anything like new in this title another jaunt through the forest boring endless rubbish to wade through to get anything actually worth reading. One for the series in order readers I reckon.

Bolan in the jungle. I’ve seen this a number of times lately from this author. Even “Final Resort” had some foliage/jungle in the hostaged resort. While in the jungle, he usually has a Steyr AUG (“Survival Reflex,” “Primal Law”) and is usually wedded to a GPS unit (“State of Evil”). I haven’t read “Jungle Justice” yet, so I’m expecting more of the same there. Okay, with that said, I don’t believe I ever read a Nazi warlord installment from him. The villains were as good as they could be under the circumstances, and I liked the way the coalition this Nazi had around him to allegedly protect him, all worked together in a place called Colonia Victoria. Toss in some truly bizarre customs, some uncertainty with characters and people changing their minds with logical thoughts. They are living, breathing people that run around here. I was entertained, therefore I recommend it.

This was an interesting story. I was surprised that Mack used the GPS like a lifeline consulting it every few minutes. Also that he spent time arguing about who was going where and who and how scouting would be done. Usually he just says my way or the highway I was pretty sure he told Jorge and Cohen that was the deal. overall it was a good read though I will recommend it. Thanks

Since I have just started reading the series, this is the best novel written by Mike Newton I have read. The other three(Rogue Warrior, Extreme Justice, Final Resort) have failed to impress me. This one had more action sequences and a higher body count than Final Resort, which really helped me keep my interest. I found the concept of a sanctuary for neo-nazis in Colombia very intriguing. The novel was suspenseful the whole way through, and the final confrontation between Bolan and the Colonia Victoria neo-nazis was fantastic. Hans Gunter Dietrich was a very interesting villian, even though its hard to believe a man of his age would still be that energetic. The tension between Hans Gunter Dietrich and his cohorts added to the story. Overall a good read.
